Tracey Lentell is a highly celebrated and award winning Director of Design | Culture | Change in the Club Industry.
With an impressive career in high level management and as Group CEO in the Club Industry spanning 20 years, Tracey is a sought after thought leader and disruptor who is paving the way for others by sharing her knowledge and expertise as a trainer, speaker and mentor.
Her vast experience in the not for profit sector spanning financial services, hospitality, gaming, community and sport is second to none and sees her as an in demand speaker and trainer on platforms around the world.
Tracey is an organisational strategist like no other. Her purpose is to assist organisations, management and their people to achieve outstanding results. She does this by combining strategy, leadership and culture; the essential ingredients for business results and the core drivers of her leadership approach.
In 2019 she completed the 4 day intensive program “Disney’s Approach to Quality Service” at the Disney Institute in Anaheim - further complementing her personal belief that satisfying the needs of your people and those you serve in the Club industry has been the motivating force behind her success in leading organisations to be more efficient and profitable.
TRACEY’S EXPERIENCE:
Over the last 15 years, Tracey has been CEO of two large Sydney Clubs - Moorebank Sports Club Group and Club Rivers. She was the catalyst for positive change leading the club through significant growth and turnaround from décor and design, through service and culture and by tracking all financial numbers.
In her 11 years at Moorebank SC, the revenue increased over 150% from $11 million to $19 million and they went from 1 venue to 3 during this time. The assets grew by over 400% from $8 million to $34 million, and they were able to grow from 80 gaming machines to 320 machines.
Tracey’s leadership style is employee driven and this is reflected in her ability to relate to people from staff to management, to board members and to patrons. As a CEO, Tracey developed a robust, tangible and measurable culture in key areas such as employee engagement, significant reductions in absenteeism (at over 68%) and turnover. This success is reflected in her role as a trainer and mentor to the club industry in her current role.
The Club Industry is about supporting the community and she initiated programs encompassing workplace giving, community volunteering and charitable initiatives. Led by herself, her team volunteered with many organisations including homeless shelters, domestic violence refuges, the pound, kids dealing with mental illness, hearing impaired children and many more. High achieving employees were also offered a bi-yearly opportunity to volunteer in Cambodia for 1 week in conjunction with Help 2 Help charity.
AWARD WINNING ACCOLADES
Personally, Tracey has been recognised by many non-hospitality industries along with the Club Industry with awards for Winner Best Business Leader, State Finalist Business Leader, Australian Finalist with AHRI for CEO of the year, Finalist for Heart of the Community and a number of other State Finalist awards.
Professionally, in her role as Group CEO for 11 years at Moorebank Sports Club, they achieved numerous awards including Winner Excellence in Training, Skilling and Development, Excellence in Customer Service, Winner Employer of Choice, Winner Youth Leadership, Australian Finalist with AHRI for CSR, Disability, Welfare and Social Inclusion and a number of non-hospitality and Club Industry awards.
